Senior Physical Education Award
The Batavia High School Physical Education and Health Department annually recognizes two high school seniors - one boy and one girl - from whose physical
education careers have been exemplary, whose fitness achievements and personal citizenship standards are a model to others, and who possess high levels of
integrity, self-discipline and collaboration.
I. Criteria:
a. Does an exemplary job in overall fitness standards
b. Has strong attributes in the areas of:
i. Attitude, effort, helpfulness, teamwork, sportsmanship
II. Nomination and Selection Process:
a. Members of the department will nominate students at the end of each term. The nominees will be reviewed at the end of the year and one male student and one female student will be awarded the senior physical education award.
b. The nominator/department head will present the award to the senior winners on awards night.
III. Recognition
a. Students will be recognized at the end of the year senior banquet.
b. Each winner will receive:
i. A certificate and letter of award
ii. Their name permanently engraved on a plaque that will hang in the physical education center
iii. A picture recognizing year to year winners
iv. A 3 month membership to XSport Fitness
